THE
UPDATE
POWERBREAK
FOUNDATION
"Helping
People Succeed In The
Race Of Life"
PowerBreak Ministries
- We are busy
publishing and
republishing
booklets that Bob
has written. Those
include:
- The Valley Of
Achor
-
God's promises us a
blessing of HOPE as
we pass throught the
Valley Of Achor or
TROUBLE - This is a
look at and
encouragement from
real life
experiences. This
booklet is part of
the "POWER IN
THE VALLEY"
series.
- (Coming Soon!)
The
Valley Of Vision
- God speaks to us
and shows us great
and wonderful things
when we pass through
the valley of life.
The valley
experience may not
be pleasant for the
moment but when God
speaks it changes
everything. This
booklet is part of
the "POWER IN
THE VALLEY"
series.
- (Coming Soon!)
The
Power Of Gratitude
- There is no more
powerful emotional
response to life
than the attitude of
gratitude. This
booklet explores the
way to get it, keep
it, and use it. It
was the driving
force in the life of
Paul from the Bible
and it can make a
difference in your
life.
- Weekly
PowerBreak
Collection
-
Every six weeks we
publish a booklet
that is a collection
of the Weekly
PowerBreaks that
have been sent out
via email on a
weekly basis.
- Daily PowerBreak
- A monthly booklet
of Scripture with a
word of
encouragement, and a
daily challenge.
Weekly PowerBreak
- a weekly
motivational /
inspirational article
written by Bob that
takes the practical side
of life and finds some
scriptural help and
encouragement.
Our list of
recipients grows every
week. The Weekly
PowerBreak is sent via
email to thousands
people throughout the
world. USPS
subscriptions.
- Daily PowerBreak
-
a monthly collection
of short Power Breaks
for each day of the
month. Each Daily
PowerBreak includes a
Scripture reading, a
word of encouragement,
and a daily challenge.
- The Daily
PowerBreak is sent
by subscription via
USPS and is also
available at Winter
Park Church or via
the PowerBreak
website.
- Keeping up
"What's going on
with the entire
PowerBreak Foundation.
The Newsletter is
sent by subscription
via USPS and is also
available at Winter
Park Church or via the
PowerBreak website.
- PowerBreak Website
- Our
website is growing in
the number of hits we
get and in the things
we are offering via
the website. Check
back often.
- PowerBreak radio
programs
-
Although we have not
been able to
resurrect this
ministry from the
past we hope to get
it going sometime in
the near future.
Plans are in the
works for a five
minute daily program
and a weekly program
of length yet to be
determined. Stay
tuned we hope to get
this going again
soon.
- Quick Breaks radio
spots
- a
unique concept of
short messages of
encouragement and
power from God's Word
in commercial length
format and placed on
commercial radio
stations. This idea
has been in Bob's mind
for years. Although
it's still in the
concept phase we hope
to see this happen
before too long.
Iron Prayer Ministry
- Iron Prayer
Service at
Triathlons worldwide
- It's happening!
Ironman New Zealand
kicked off the season
for Iron Prayer at
Ironman and other
triathlons. Great
doors of opportunity
have opened and more
athletes are
connecting and
networking to see this
ministry expand.
- Iron Prayer
website
-
athletes are finding
the website as word is
spreading through the
triathlete community.
At this point the
website: www.ironprayer.com
- is mostly
informational but
plans are being made
to expand the services
on the website to
minister to and direct
those who are seeking
God and help in
specific areas.
- Iron Prayer
newsletter
- although this is
still in the
production phase, we
hope to have a
newsletter to give to
athletes at each event
in 2003 and create a
follow up support
system that will go
beyond the Iron Prayer
service at the event.
Racing For Kids With
Asthma
- Raising money for
kids asthma programs
through the American
Lung Association
- The race has begun
in 2003. Bob will
again be participating
in the Janus Charity
Challenge which means
if Bob can be one of
the top money raisers,
Janus will donate a
significant amount to
match the money
raised. Regardless of
whether Bob places
high in the Janus
Charity Challenge, the
real winners are kids
with asthma that
benefit from the
programs, research,
and help from the
American Lung
Assocation.
- Speaking to kids
through the ALA Open
Airways
-
Bob is in his third
year of working with
the American Lung
Association's Open
Airways program where
kids with asthma are
taught how to manage
their asthma and live
a complete life. Bob
is "on call"
and used by the
various instructors to
talk to kids how he is
able to participate in
Ironman triathlons
even though he has
severe asthma.
- Helping kids
through the ALA
"asthma
camps"
-
as with the Open
Airways, Bob is
"on call" to
help out as a speaker
and encourager at the
"Asthma
Camp."
Bob Brubaker,
motivational speaker and
minister
- Speaking in
schools, youth
groups, churches,
and organizations
- Bob has had
opportunity to speak
in several schools
this year and is
scheduled soon to
speak to a local
rotary club.
- Providing funeral
ministry for
families without a
pastor
-
Bob is "on
call" with a
local funeral home to
provide funerals
services for families
in need. It's amazing
how the list of
families without a
pastor continues to
grow.
- Ministering to
athletes at
triathlons and other
athletic events
- whether through the
Iron Prayer ministry
or just being around
other athletes at
events.
Bob Brubaker,
triathlete
- Supporting Bob's
connection to the
world of athletics
through races -
Just about all of
Bob's activities are
either connected to or
greatly influenced by
his participation in
athletic events so it
is important that he
continues his training
and participating in
triathlons and other
events.
